And the winner is...

I would have liked to post a bit earlier but I have had some allergy problems. If it is getting into spring full force wherever you live you will understand. the pollen has reach epic portions here in Arkansas from our  really early very warm weather =) But it will pass in time, we hope. 

We used random.org and chose  winner for our St Patrick's day Banner and were very happy to Congratulate

Jennifer Johnson from Waldorf Maryland. She got it in plenty of time and was able to hang it on her front door for the Lucky holiday! I hope to get a picture from her soon to show everyone.

Since it is still St.Patrick's season and March we would like to spotlight  our Irish Dance Department . If you have or know an Irish Dancer anyone of our specialty items would make excellent birthday gifts for them.

Spring & St.Patricks Day Free drawing

It seems like the holidays have just past but now it's spring here in Arkansas, St.Patrick's Day is just around the corner and summer not far behind!
Many might wonder who the little girls are that I always have in my header pictures. These are my two grand daughters, Ivy & Beatrix. They are the children of my two daughters, whom I have named my business after. Jenny & Kelly, the J&K of J&K designs! Being a grand parent is a whole different experience and one I wouldn't change for the world! I love these little girls and both they and their mom's give me a great deal of my inspiration!!
We hope to be soon introducing our next new product "Growels", your new green alternative to paper towels.I will be sending a set out soon to our first tester and I will be looking for 2 more to help out. Once everyone has a chance to use them and see how they work and I get feed back then I will begin to offer them online and on face book.We gave up using paper towels about a year ago and while it was a bit of a change to say the least we have become very accustomed to it. It saves money, and helps with paper waste as well!

In honour of the day we have a free drawing for one of new home banners. This one is decorated with cute Shamrocks and "Happy St.Paddy's Day in the center.This would make a great gift for some one or to hang on your front door!No purchase is required and you can enter until March 10th. Holly Jolly here comes Christmas

I love Christmas, it is my very favorite time of year. I love the colors that go with Christmas and all the decorations. It is a very special time!I wish we could have a bit of snow during Christmas but that will probably not be so. Arkansas is not know for it's snowy season, rain is our snow

Although it is still a while until Christmas I have been getting my gifts together. I am usually very very late but decided this year to get on the ball =) We are having all of our family and a special friend with us this year so it is going to be a wonderful time and I wanted to be organized. I want to be able to spend time with my girls,sons-in-laws and grand daughters. So because of that, I actually have a lot of my gifts ready and even some wrapped. I still have some to hand make but just being a bit ahead makes me really glad.

Work has been very busy as it usually is at Christmas time. I always make grand plans for me, my house , my web site and on and on and if I can succeed at 1/3 of them I will be doing well, but I love it anyway.
Our "Going Green for Christmas" event has come and gone and was a great . I love creating things for it, to help folks have a greener home and I love being able to spend time with all my friends and customers who help support me in this adventure of business and life.

In trying to be green in our home we recycle and try to reduce , reuse everything we can, I hang out laundry to save on energy and I save almost every scrap of fabric that I have left over to keep to use for other projects. I have a stock pile, and try not to toss out anything until I know I cannot use it. My daughter comes home to visit and is able to gather some of the larger scraps to make quilts. This is my favorite way to see the reuse of something, and being rewarded in seeing a beautiful quilt.

The Holidays are coming our way!!

It has finally cooled off a little here and has made life a bit easier.The garden is still growing and we are beginning to look forward to the holidays.
So far we have had an eventful year, our second grand daughter arrived in June, a blessing to our oldest daughter & her husband and one to us as well. Our youngest daughter was able to visit with our oldest grand daughter 2 1/2 year old Ivy and it made summer the most enjoyable yet.She is a joy to be with! Many of the ideas I have and the inspiration I receive comes from my daughters and grand daughters and they make life wonderful! I am looking forward to the holidays and creating special things for all of you!

     I thought to kick off the fall and holiday season I would do a drawing for one of our new Home Banners. I have our new Halloween "Trick or Treat" banner made and ready for the free drawing.You can hang these in your house or on a wreath hanger for your front door to announce each holiday. These will be added to our web set as ready made items later this year. We will be celebrating all the holidays with these cute banners, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's ,birthday's & many more. You will be able to hang the birthday's ones on the front door for a week to announce and celebrate that special persons birthday.
